Ms. Qurat-Ul-Ain Memon, Director Sindh Investment Department, stated that the Sindh government is very keen to improve the business environment in the province and informed that the Sindh Doing Business Reforms Council (SDBRC) had already been actively working to this end. She explained in the launching ceremony of 6th Ease of Doing Business Reform Action Plan and Investment Promotion Strategy by BOI in Islamabad.
Director Sindh Investment Department, Ms. Qurat-Ul-Ain Memon, informed the participants that the Govt. of Sindh has waived labor fee for shops and commercial establishments and also working closely with SESSI to collect contributions & benefits of 18,000 business enterprises through its online portal. She discussed the policy interventions in Housing & Construction sector that SBCA has been started collecting applications for all categories at its single window facility.
She also apprised the participants that a dedicated Doing Business Reforms Implementation Unit was coordinating with all the government functionaries, private sector organizations and all other related business stakeholders to make easier and digital to get licenses, permits and other relevant permissions.
Ms. Qurat-Ul-Ain Memon, Director Sindh Investment Department stressed that our continuous improvement in national ranking on the World Bank’s Doing Business Index is a result of our government’s vision and relentless endeavors and Sindh will carry forward this agenda and transform Karachi and Sindh into a regional investment hub.
